Mileage Club runs
through May 23. Our young people have an opportunity to walk or run
during designated recesses. Participation is voluntary. A "toe token" is
earned for every 5 miles logged and earn a "footprint" to post in the
corridor for every 10 miles completed. The purpose of the Mileage Club
is to encourage our young people to become more physically active. Mary
Greeley Medical Center is partnering with us to bring the Feelin' Good
Mileage Club this spring.

KEEP
Collecting…Please.
|
|
·
Box Tops
– Look for Box Tops on General Mills cereals, Fruit Rollups,
Go-Gurts, Betty Crocker
muffin and brownie mixes, Ziplocs, and Kleenex. Each one is worth 10
cents. Box Tops are now found on even more products – including Country
Hearth bread and Pull-Ups/Goodnights.
-
Last year,
we collected Box Tops as a mission project for Sacred Heart in
Mississippi. Sacred Heart Elementary School was completely
destroyed by hurricane Katrina, and was in the process of
rebuilding. We earned over $1200 for the school. This year we plan
to use the money raised from Box Tops to purchase playgroup
equipment for our school. We will let the children vote on which
equipment they would like the most.

·
Campbell’s Labels– Points earned from last year’s labels purchased
Simple Sentences and Pocket Chart for Mrs. Hand’s first grade
classroom. Thank you to all who collected!
Campbell’s
Labels are found on soups, Spaghettios, Prego spaghetti sauce, and
Pepperidge Farm products (such as Goldfish crackers). Campbell’s points
are redeemed for products for our school. Please remember, we do not
need the entire label. We only need the UPC off the soup cans, etc.
Please keep the UPC intact when removing the label. Example:
|
|
·
Tyson A+
Labels – Clip the labels and turn them in to help us get 24 cents per
label. |
|
·
Cash for
Caps – Swiss Valley Milk Lids –We will be collecting these clean
milk lids that are worth 5 cents each. Swiss Valley milk is available
at Sam’s Club and Cub Foods. We will also collect and redeem Kemps milk
lids. |
|
·
Staples –
New This Year!! Staples will give our school $3 for every ink cartridge
(ink jet and laser) we recycle. Please place your used cartridges in a
plastic bag. There will be a separate collection container on top
of the shelf to help contain any leaks. The types of cartridges that
they will recycle include Dell, Canon, HP, Sharp, Lexmark, etc. Please
check the website (www.staplesrecyclefored.com) to see if your cartridge
is eligible. They will recycle any and all but only give us money for
certain brands and models. |
|
·
Nestle
Pure Life Water – New This Year!! We will be trying this out this year
to see how many labels we can collect. Save the whole label from the
water bottles and they can be redeemed for sports and fitness equipment
for our school. It works best to remove the entire label and then fold
it in half so that the “sticky” part is contained. |
|
·
Collection Boxes – The collection box for the preschoolers will be
located in the preschool room. The collection boxes for the other
grades are located by the entrance to the multipurpose room. |
|
·
Family/Friends – Ask your family and friends to collect for you
too. Many people save them but don’t have a place to give them to. Ask
them to donate them to St. Cecilia’s! |
